The Las Vegas Valley Water District's 4125 Zone Pumping Station project included a greenfield pumping station and building, boasting a capacity of 12.9 million gallons per day (MGD). At the heart of this achievement was the invaluable partnership between JH Engineering, LLC (JHE), and J.A. Tiberti as part of the Construction Team. JHE played a pivotal role in the planning, management, and execution of the commissioning and startup of this project. A key focus of JHE's expertise was in conducting comprehensive functional and performance testing across various critical components. This included meticulously evaluating the pumps, pneumatically actuating valves, compressed air system, surge suppression system, HVAC equipment, and instrumentation and controls (I&C). Working closely with the pump manufacturer's representative, JHE conducted pump performance testing. JHE produced pump and efficiency curves that were ultimately used for initial acceptance of the pumps and identified efficiency that exceeded contract requirements and allowed J.A Tiberti the ability to apply for incentives supported by the contract. The outstanding collaboration between JHE and its partners in the project has resulted in an exceptional outcome for the LVVWD's 4125 Zone Pumping Station.
