The Northeast Water Purification Plant (NEWPP) is a $1.81B, 320 MGD, Progressive Design-Build regional conventional water treatment plant that will be delivered in three sequential project phases consisting of four 80 MGD trains. The project includes constructing a new elevated 450 MGD Raw Water (RW) Intake Pump Station approximately 300 yards off the shoreline of Lake Houston with dual 108” RW conveyance lines routed to the new facility. Each train will include rapid mix, floc/sed basins, pre and post chemical feed, ozonation, and filtration. Potable water will be stored in four 12 MGD clearwells and distributed via two high service pump stations. JHE is representing the City of Houston as the Commissioning and Startup Subject Matter Expert.
