Mackenzie Phillips joined JHE in April 2023 as an Administration Manager. She has had many roles throughout her career with focuses in administration management, process improvement, and business analytics. Mackenzie has an inquisitive mind and loves to observe processes and find ways to make improvements for efficiency. As someone who is task driven behind the scenes, Mackenzie enjoys working with visionaries to help bring their ideas to fruition. Her seven years working for the City of Austin both at Austin Water and Public Works gave her a good introduction into the world of water, wastewater, and public planning. Leveraging her extensive background, Mackenzie contributes to JHE by optimizing and standardizing administrative processes, while also offering comprehensive assistance to our team and projects. Her motto is “People first, People Always” and she believes that if business decisions are made by putting people first, satisfaction, and productivity will always increase.
While Mackenzie was born and raised in San Jose, California, she came to Austin at a young age and fell in love. Some of her favorite childhood memories include skiing on Lake Austin and seeing the Pennybacker bridge for the first time. She knew even as a child that Austin would one day be her home. She is a proud fire wife and mom to a spunky daughter and two loyal labs.
When Mackenzie has free time, she likes to be outdoors reading, volunteering at a local equine therapy organization, and cruising the Caribbean. Her dream is to one day swim with wild orcas off the coast of Norway.
