Jeff was born in Salt Lake City, UT and moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1988. Jeff grew up in Las Vegas and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Jeff began his career in the swimming pool industry working in all aspects of the industry from service technician, wholesale inside sales, retail, and finally construction, and engineering. Jeff worked in the swimming pool industry while gaining his BS degree. Over his career, Jeff gained his professional engineering licensure in both mechanical and civil disciplines and is licensed in multiple states.

Shortly after obtaining his degree (2003), Jeff took a Process Mechanical Project Engineering position for a local general contractor in the Las Vegas area and is where he was first exposed to the Water and Wastewater industry. Using skills developed from his experience in the swimming pool industry, Jeff quickly became comfortable with the much larger process equipment and piping typically used in the W/WW facilities. Working in the field with the craft as a project engineer, foreman, superintendent, commissioning and startup manager, and project manager, Jeff gained a significant amount of hands-on construction experience and early on had a very clear understanding that commissioning and startup was an important and needed phase, and where he began to re-focus his career path.

As a young kid, Jeff was introduced to dirt bikes and riding quickly became a weekly routine. One of Jeff’s favorite places to ride and camp was Dumont Sand Dunes in the Mojave Desert located in California. As he grew up and became more career focused, his passion shifted from riding to classic cars. Now, Jeff enjoys working on and driving classic cars, bringing old, non-running vehicles back to life, as well as heavily modifying and customizing some of them along the way. Jeff also enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Robyn, three dogs, and four horses on their ranch where they overlook beautiful pastures, a pond, and amazing sunsets.
